Aging & Wellness Institute's Mission
The Aging & Wellness Institute (AWI) utilizes a multi-faceted approach to wellness. This approach focuses on three broad areas of lifestyle identified in the Clearwater Osteoarthritis Study (COS) as important in preventing, managing, and to some extent, treating arthritis and most diseases of aging – Nutrition, Exercise, and Yoga.
The mission of AWI is to promote and enable longevity and independence through programs that support healthy aging of body and mind. We support individuals and families in improving and maintaining healthy lifestyle habits to maximize quality of life, maintain independence, and reduce pain during the latter third of their lifespan.
